Love theseWall Hangings

These are 2 of the Wall hangings we made with Pat and our Lakeside Ladies. I made the Flag and the Sand Castles. I will be making the Light House and the Bird House. I really like making them, they are easy and make very nice gifts. The patterns are from Patch Abilities and average in size to be 6 in by 21 in.

Now I can post a picture

Saturday my Dearest Grandson Anthony Graduated w/ honors from Dominion HS in Virginia. It rained so ceremony was taken indoors and it went very smoothly. Anthonys Girl Friend Krystyna was president of the Sr Class and gave a wonderful speech. There was also one given by one of their classmates who had lots of trouble and problems, but turned his life around. He brought many of us to tears, his story should be made into a movie. The other students knew he had some problems as a freshman but not the whole story, they too were very moved. Anthony and Krystyna both said he was one of the nicest young men in the school. There were also 8 eagle scouts that graduated. That impressed Brandon as he is working toward his own Eagle Badge. I finally got to give Anthony the Memory Quilt I made for him, he loved it. Told me it was too nice for a college dorm, he would hang it in his bedroom at home and one day give it to his children and his grandchildren. Now it will be off to Virginia Tech and work toward an engineering degree.

LittleLeagueSoftball

Katie had a wonderful and learning season this year. Both coaches were so patient with the girls and taught them so much. Last game was thurs. nite and Coach L. had fun and a big surprise for them and Coach S caught it with an awesome picture.Katie is the little blond, 3rd from right. If you look at her she never moved in both pictures, kept the same position. Bless these volunteers and all of them that give so much of their time to help the children.

Fruit Ladies Tote

Here is the tote bag I made from the material!! Don't you just Love It? Its such a conversation piece

MadHattersBlockSwap

This is a Pat Sloan block swap. Re-reading Alice in Wonderland gave her the inspiration for it, thus the name. I made mine from fabric called Fruit Ladies. I don't remember whose material it is, but I love it. I made a tote bag also from the material.

Our Lakeside group

Some of you may have seen a blog of Pat Casadei telling about our neighborhood group. A couple of weeks ago she was teaching us paper piecing and she had really nice bird patterns. Now I don't know how you are with learning, but I have to do it more than once to remember how to do it The yellow finch we did in our class and the humming bird I did home. I still have a robin and a woodpecker I want to do. They are fun and the more I do, the easier they become.
